Leadership Statement

UCLA has been home to Dr. Cooper for 26 years  She is a graduate of the UCLA School of Medicine, the UCLA EM residency and the UCLA EM Research Fellowship.  Following her fellowship, we recruited her for the faculty.  Dr. Cooper’s talents are multidimensional. Research and particularly research methodology have been a major focus of Dr. Cooper’s career, and she has enjoyed great success becoming a Research Methodology Editor for the Annals of Emergency Medicine.  She is a frequent participant in the educational conferences, the driving force behind our Journal Club, and is recognized as an excellent educator.  Dr. Cooper is also one of our finest clinicians and receives some of the highest evaluation scores from the residents for her bedside teaching.  She is an engaged mentor and tireless advocate for the residents. UCLA is fortunate to have her.
