Why did you choose UCLA for residency?

The people and the sense of community. I had the most fun and interesting conversations, and left feeling more excited about the future than I had after any other interview. It was easy to see how much the residents and attendings enjoy and care for each other.

If you have never lived in LA before, what are you most excited about?

The variety of foods, outdoor activities, art/theatre, and good weather year round to enjoy it in...So everything.

What else do you do in your free time? What hobbies do you have?

I enjoy yoga, hiking and camping, reading, travel, and salsa dancing. I also draw and paint, and when I can find a rigging I play on the flying trapeze.

What are your areas of interest within EM or future career plans?

I don't have any firm career plans, but I do have a special interest in Palliative Care and Geriatrics. My grandparents are my favorite people.
