Why did you choose UCLA for Residency?

I really wanted to find a program that was a good mix of both academic and county medicine, everyone talks about finding your "place" in EM and I wanted a program like UCLA that has so many opportunities that I could take my training and career wherever I want it to go. Also the people! Everyone was welcoming and great to talk to, I could really tell they cared about the residents and each other.

What is your favorite place to visit/thing(s) to do in/memory from living in LA? If you have never lived here before, what are you most excited about?

I am most excited about getting to the mountains for camping and hiking. Coming from the flat midwest I am so excited for some beaches and mountains.

What are your areas of interest within EM or future career plans? 

Not sure at this time. Still trying to figure that out, but I know that UCLA will get me where I want to be!

Where would we find you if not in the department?

You would fine me drinking way to much coffee, then finding the next hike to hit
