Taylor James, M.D.

 I love cooking, baking, balcony yoga, hiking and backpacking, exploring local breweries and binge watching TV shows. I've also recently gotten into tennis, though I'm still terrible, and I want to try out surfing.

Why did you choose UCLA for Residency?

Definitely the combo of having the perfect academic/county split as well as super cool residents and faculty. LA is also close to home for me so it was a win-win-win!

What is your favorite place to visit/thing(s) to do in/memory from living in LA? If you have never lived here before, what are you most excited about?

I'm most excited for the good food, proximity to the beach, and easily accessible hiking trails.

What are your areas of interest within EM or future career plans? 

I'm interested in medical education and global health. Additionally, I'm in the Air Force HPSP program so my future career plans will involve military service for at least a few years.
