The Department of Emergency Medicine at UCLA periodically offers opportunities to join our faculty. The positions are based at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center (RRMC) and Santa Monica UCLA Medical Center (SMMC), with faculty appointments in the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. RRMC is an academic medical center on the main UCLA campus in Westwood, 520 bed, level 1 trauma and comprehensive stroke center with 56,000 annual ED visits. SMMC is an academic-affiliated community hospital with 48,000 annual ED visits. All faculty share responsibilities for patient care and teaching our residents and UCLA medical students. Founded in 1978, our four-year EM residency program has 15 residents per year. We offer fellowships in toxicology, research, ultrasound, administration, health equity, space medicine, and medical education. UCLA Health is consistently ranked among the top institutions by U.S. News & World Report, and has appeared in the honor roll for over 30 consecutive years.
