If you have never lived in LA before, what are you most excited about?

I am most excited about living near the ocean, all of the amazing hiking around, and new rocks to climb.

What are your areas of interest within EM or future career plans?

I am interested in wilderness and global medicine.

Why did you choose UCLA-Olive View for residency?

I loved that at UCLA, there was a fantastic diversity of training sites. When I came for my interview, I thought the residents were hilarious and they already treated me like family. Faculty were telling me funny stories about their bands. It seemed like a perfect fit!

What else do you do in your free time? What hobbies do you have?

I am an avid rock climber, hiker, skier, cyclist, and overall outdoor enthusiast. I love taking weekend warrior trips to local nature spots.

Is there any info you'd like to share?

One of my dreams is to acquire a camper van and build out the back for weekend adventures.

Are you involved in any research or national EM committees etc? If so, what?

I wrote two review articles, one of which was published in AJEM about Preoxygenation and emergency airway management.
