Why did you choose UCLA for Residency?
How approachable and down-to-earth the residents and faculty were, the county-academic balance, the involvement with and commitment to health advocacy, and promises of amazing food hangouts after shift!
What is your favorite place to visit/thing(s) to do in/memory from living in LA? If you have never lived here before, what are you most excited about?
I'm most excited about delicious in-season produce year-round, finding an ultimate frisbee crew, getting my tan back, and starting a houseplant collection.
What do you do in your free time? What hobbies do you have?
In my free time, I like planning my next travel adventure, learning to cook fun new vegetables, beating my husband at Scrabble, and writing my blog.
What are your areas of interest within EM or future career plans?
Social EM, medical device development, global health.
Any hidden talent(s)?
Packing for trips with just one bag
Where would we find you if not in the department (ie. couch, beach, wilderness, climbing, etc.)?
Looking up etymology on the internet, trying out new cafes, and stuck in traffic jamming to Rachmaninoff concerto no. 2.
Next vacation stop?
Paris, if they'll let us!
What is your spirit animal?
My mascot would be a manatee.
