Kaela Shun

Kaela is a fourth-year Physiological Science major at UCLA. She joined EMRA in Fall 2024 and became a coordinator in Summer 2026. Within EMRA, Kaela has been involved in the Mentorship, Research, New Member Training, Education, and Health Literacy and Outreach (HLO) Committees. She currently serves as the co-head of member recruitment and Mentorship Committee, leading the high school mentorship initiatives. Outside of EMRA, Kaela does research in a neurosurgery & immunology lab, advocates for women’s health as a committee co-director for BruiNecessities, and instructs high school and college students in science lab experiments. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, learning new languages, and exploring various creative arts.
