Interests

Bird Watching: I have been an avid birder for several years. I often travel on my free days to birding areas in search of species I have not seen before. I recently saw a pair of California condors near the grand canyon, and they were spectacular. Rock Climbing:I have been an active climber since I was a kid. I climbed competitively throughout high school. Now I just climb for fun.

Area of Interest:
Admin/QI, Infectious Disease, Social Emergency Medicine/Advocacy

Why did you choose UCLA for Residency?

I chose UCLA for the strong academic and clinical training. This is supported by the diverse patient population, the different training sites, and involved faculty. I also wanted a 4 year program that would give me the time and support needed to explore my additional interests within EM.

What is your favorite place to visit/thing(s) to do in/memory from living in LA? If you have never lived here before, what are you most excited about?

I have never lived in LA before, but I am very excited about moving to the city. I am looking forward to meeting new interesting people, going to the beach, experiencing the amazing food scene, and visiting the many amusement parks!

What do you do in your free time? What hobbies do you have?

In my free time I might be out on an adventure: climbing, surfing, or bird watching. I might also be relaxing: watching movies, cooking, or doing jigsaw puzzles!

What are your areas of interest within EM or future career plans?

Social emergency medicine, administration/QI, rural health, LGBT health care.

Who would you be if you could be any superhero?

Groot

What is your spirit animal?

Jaguar
