Emergency Medicine Research Associates (EMRA)
We are a team of fifty undergraduate students who assist with screening, consenting, and enrolling patients in clinical trials and observational studies at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. In addition, EMRA provides students with unique collaborative opportunities, allowing them to work closely with physicians, nurses, and various members of the emergency medicine team. Students also have the privilege of shadowing these professionals in the Emergency Department, both during and outside their shifts, gaining firsthand experience and deepening their understanding of emergency medicine. Through active engagement in clinical research and immersive learning experiences, EMRA empowers students to contribute to the advancement of emergency medicine while fostering their growth as future leaders in the field.
